BURN PERMITS may be obtained by calling the DNR at 1-866-922-2876 or by going to www.michigan.gov\burnpermit only. Permits are NOT issued by the Butman Township Fire Department.

Welcome to the Butman Township Volunteer Fire-Rescue Web page. We are a fully qualified non-profit organization with dedicated volunteers providing professional fire-rescue service available to the residents of Butman Township. We currently have a roster of 10 volunteers, including officers.

We are always looking for dedicated vounteers ( you must be a healthy adult, 18 years or older) to join our department. Stop in at the Fire Hall or Township Hall for an application. You may also call Chief Pollock at (989) 246-0960, leave a message and Chief Pollock will return your call as soon as possible.


911 "Reflective Street Sign" available

For a $25.00 donation a reflective 911 street sign will be completed and put in at your address.  This sign helps the fire department quickly find your home when you need them for emergency or fire services.  An application can be picked up at the POA office or the Township office.  Remember, by buying this sign, the life you save may well be your own.  Get yours today!
